Get to Know Sharon

Beulah Denise Kelley passed away on March 14, 2014. She was Sharon’s younger sibling but more than that, she was her best friend, confidant, personal prophet and her personal intercessor. Beulah embodied love. She was truly beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. Her life exemplified the fruit of the Spirit. She was very loyal and was someone Sharon could trust.
Beulah’s death devastated Sharon, sending her spiraling into a depression that would span two years. Sharon says that to her, the loss of her sister was more traumatic than the loss of her mother. Beulah was not only her sister but spiritually as well as physically, her child. Sharon says that when Beulah died, a part of her died. Being her watchman, she died during intercession for Sharon. Her mother’s last instruction was to take care of Beulah. Sharon raised her and was responsible for her conversion to Christ. It was not simply a matter of grief but disappointment, anger, bitterness, and bewilderment. It is hard to fathom a person dying while in the presence of God. Sharon had a lot of unanswered questions and there was only one place where she could get answers. Sharon went to the source because there are some problems that only the manufacturer, that is the potter can resolve.
In many ways Beulah’s death, while tragic, was the catalyst for Sharon’s transformation and closer walk with Christ. He called her to a place of rest in Him. He exposed her to His many facets. Like with a lover, this journey took her into some of the deepest parts of intimacy with Christ. While many peopleare content to simply experience God, Sharon had a divine encounter with Hum; an encounter that would change her life forever. Today, Sharon walks in a freedom, love and understanding of God that she previously did not have. She asserts that there are some things you can obtain by being alone with God. It is connectedness that you have with God that cannot be attained by casually walking with Him. It is the place where you truly become bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh.
When asked about the wisdom she obtained for others from God, especially young leaders in ministry, Sharon points to the immeasurable value of putting your plan before God and letting Him direct your actions. Direction from God, she states applies to every facet of life because our life with Christ is holistic. Living on purpose with Christ is allowing His will to be done through your life. In dealing with the question of ministry, Sharon revealed that the Hebraic message in ministry is truly about your relationship with Christ. It is about knowing and letting Him orchestrate your life. Ministry is ministering to someone, leading to Christ or helping them to overcome adversity. Each one reaches one. We all have an assignment and are part of a Kingdom that is not divided. Sharon now lives in a Kingdom where she can be her authentic self, which is being the best she can be with no pretending. She is no longer ashamed of her stuttering nor the weight upon her because she is working toward an expected end. She has taken the mask walking out the word rather than hiding behind it. She is finally free, walking in the liberty she obtained in Christ.
